day 1 health (part one)

I perceive health in a couple ways...mental, physical, and emotional. the most commonly referred health is the physical. and there is a huge industry on dieting and exercise...but if you have struggled with being overweight your whole life and you have tried multitudes of diets then that isn't the best way to go. sure, you can cut back food, eat healthier, and exercise...that will work. It will only work temporarily though. I have lost 30 pound in the last several months because of a couple key principles. Number one...mental health; if you aren't motivated then dieting won't work. what you need is a life change. I personally believe that you need a push to make it. For me, I went to Disney World with my family for Christmas ( I know cheesy and awesome!) and of course it has rides, characters from famous movies, and great food. Yet there's one thing;I forgot about...walking. You walk at least 8 miles a day on average at almost every Disney park! And if you want to see Cinderella or eat in the Beast's castle from beauty in the beast...then you've got to MOVE IT!!! And if that's not motivating I don't know what is. Now...Ahem...Back to the main point. if you want to lose weight, as I said, you need a life change. I lost 6 pounds at Disney world. and suddenly walking and running weren't as hard. I believe life changing experiences are something that come with time. I also believe they are very rare, if not once in a lifetime. Life change may be dramatic...but, if you need dramatic change then life change seems to be what is needed for you. so to lose weight, you need the mentality to keep going.
